Learning 2.0

Well how exciting is this, actually blogging. This is my first attempt and how scared am I. It feels unusual. I can see the need for this in public libraries as so many of our customers are doing it. I feel I'm being left behind and that is why I applaud the State Library for this initiative, virtually forcing us to cope with our fear of technology. Saying your too busy sounds like a good excuse but I couldn't say that forever. I have taken the plunge into this different language and world due to a coworker who gave me an idea for a school holiday program from reading someone elses blog. Learning 2.0 will be beneficial to all of us as the younger generation are taking over with the technology knowledge they have. I have 2 children(12 & 11) who laugh at me when they see me trying to send a text message on a mobile phone or when they say they just got a new friend on bebo and I have to censor and make sure they know these people. It is definitely a changing environment at work and especially at home with young children. I better sign off as I'm off to a desk shift like we all have to do.
